For better or worse, MIT here I come

Tuesday, March 27, 2007

College is almost over.

This revelation has been becoming more and more clear every day, as I get closer and closer to finally finishing. It's been a good run at Udel, I don't regret the choice to go here at all. There may have been decisions that I have regretted along the way, things I think I should have done, things I would have avoided, people I would have wanted to be closer to, people I would have avoided, but all in all it's been great.

Here's to hoping that Graduate School will be just as much fun. To anyone that actually still reads this (all 3 of you) and don't know, I got into 7/7 grad schools, which were MIT, UC Berkeley, Stanford, Upenn, U michigan, Carnegie Mellon, and Princeton. I've narrowed it down to MIT, Berkeley, and Princeton, which I have to visit this weekend. As it stands, it looks like I'll be situated in Cambridge next year.

Other than that, just working on my senior thesis, trying to stay up top of my workload while maintaining a social life, while also doing all of these graduate school recruiting weekends. While fun, they're ridiculously stressful and tiring. One can only be wined and dined so much before just getting REALLY tired.

BTW what's up with all these new functions? >.< I guess I haven't posted in a really long time

Hello Grad School
Hell no to the working world
Can't possibly be as poor as I am now, right? right??? ....

BOO I'm gonna have to start doing work this afternoon, and I should be starting to do legitimate work tomorrow, it's going to be upsetting when I have to come into lab and actually do stuff =p

On the other hand, I found out that a bunch of the interns absolutely LOVE the show 24, so I may or may not end up watching the first 3 seasons again...One of the kids got a subscription to net flix which could get us int rouble..at least there's no hw that won't be done, and I can always just stay late at work if I mis the early train =p

Other than that, life is good. Surviving, truckin along, having a fun time. The people are pretty chill and I'm having a blast so far. Plus, when that first pay check rolls along, it'll be glorious

My place at rutgers is fucking SWEET, come visit. I won't have a roommate until sunday u all likelihood, so if u want 2 beds, u can have em haha. For the price of a whopping $75 a week, can't beat it. Cheaper than next year's rent by far and the place is much nicer

Work is boring, which is pretty standard. Spent the last 3 days reading documents and wasting my time on the internet..not gonna complain though haha, getting paid to read equations all day. Interns at Merck seem pretty chill, everyone's slowly getting aquainted and havin fun

Weekend will be nice though. This getting up at 650 thing is not going well, especialy when i still go to bed at 1 AM and have to struggle to stay awake so i don't miss my train stop
